WiredScore has launched in Australia, signing up Lendlease to its Wired Certification.
The move marks the digital connectivity rating company’s first expansion into the Asia Pacific market, and its eighth international market launch to date.
WiredScore has certified 14 of Lendlease’s commercial properties across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Four of the developer’s buildings at its Barangaroo South precinct development and its new Circlular Quay Tower development have achieved a WiredScore Platinum rating, the highest in the rating scheme.
These buildings join other Platinum-rated buildings, including the Empire State Building in New York, The Shard in London, and Willis Tower in Chicago.
The launch follows a recent YouGov Galaxy study, commissioned by Lendlease earlier this month, that revealed more than 80 per cent of office workers in Australia have experienced problems with connectivity at work.
William Newton, president and managing director at WiredScore, said: “More than ever, business tenants across the globe are realising the significance of remaining online and accessible.
“As evidenced by the YouGov Galaxy study, Australia is no exception to global trends, with 98 per cent of office workers agreeing that there is a clear link between reliable digital connectivity and their productivity at work.
More and more, business leaders are demanding that landlords and developers have digital connectivity front of mind, and are offering office space that meets their technological needs.”
This marks the second WiredScore launch in a week, following the company’s announcement that it had launched in Leeds last Thursday.
