Why work from home when you could work from Venice?

Forget the hordes of tourists, Venice is attempting to reinvent itself as a place of business, luring digital nomads to its cafés and canals.

The Italian city wants to lure remote workers under a scheme dubbed “Venywhere”, which is being spearheaded by the local Ca’Foscari University.

The scheme, which starts in earnest in September, will set up remote workers from other nations with flats, workspace and visas.
