Welbeck Health Partners is looking to invest over £25m in a bespoke fit-out of a clinic in South Cambridge.
The move comes as the firm pushes ahead with regional expansion plans.
After securing a 20-year deal for a 31,700 sq ft facility at Jordan Hill Business Park in Oxford, Welbeck has taken a 30-year lease on the entire Orion Building, measuring 32,000 sq ft, at Unity Campus in Cambridge.
The healthcare provider is now set to equip the Orion Building with technology and patient-centric infrastructure allowing it to provide a range of medical services across over 15 specialties and bespoke clinics.
Andrew Chadwick-Jones, chief executive of Welbeck Health Partners, said: “The Unity Campus site is a fantastic location for us, allowing us to synergise with a wealth of research and development activities and is ideally located close to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.”
Both clinics in Oxford and Cambridge are scheduled to open in mid 2025.
Welbeck launched its first private healthcare centre in London in 2019.
JLL and Savills are advising Howard Group, which owns and operates Unity Campus. Bidwells advised Welbeck on the Unity Campus deal.
