VR operator goes up a level in Norwich
Leisure operator Vector Virtual Reality has signed for a larger space at RivingtonHark’s Castle Quarter mall in Norwich, marking a significant upsize at the shopping centre.
The VR experience operator has taken a 4,223 sq ft unit on a new 10-year lease, upsizing from a 1,594 sq ft space it initially took at Castle Quarter in September last year.
The relocation will also bring it nearer to the 387,000 sq ft mall’s other social and leisure occupiers, which include Boom Battle Bar, Putt Putt Noodle, Escape Hunt, Si5 Spy Missions, Superbowl and Vue. Further terms were not disclosed.

The concept features VR pods offering more than 30 experiences for individuals and groups of up to six people, with themes such as adventure games, puzzles, combat, artistic, storytelling and sport.
Separately, wedding dress outlet Wed2Be is also moving within Castle Quarter, signing a new 10-year lease on a 3,573 sq ft outlet in the centre’s prime retail section. Wed2Be’s previous lease was due to expire in 2026.
The news comes as the centre prepares to open Castle Social, a 20,000 sq ft street food hall and entertainment concept, this autumn. It will occupy the top level of the five-floor shopping centre.
Mark Harvey, executive director and head of asset management at RivingtonHark, said: “Castle Quarter has become Norwich’s hub for social and competitive leisure experiences, and this clustering effect is driving benefits and footfall for all the operators.
“Vector Virtual Reality’s decision to expand into a larger unit not only shows its trading success to date but also underlines Castle Quarter’s position as a social, leisure and lifestyle destination.”
Jamieson Mills and Roche advised RivingtonHark.
