In the second deal, Vistry has exchanged contracts with Homes England to deliver 750 homes on the City Hospital site on Dudley Road.
The scheme has outline planning permission for 750 homes, including the conversion of the historic infirmary frontage into apartments, with up to 8,000 sq ft of commercial and community space.
Of the homes, 35% will be offered in affordable tenures, with the remainder delivered as a mix of open-market sale, affordable housing and private rent.
Vistry will submit a detailed planning application later this year, with Birmingham City Hospital due to relocate its operational facilities to the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick when the lease on the site expires in November 2025.
The group has also issued a trading update for the year ended 31 December, ahead of publishing its full-year results on 26 March.
It said its adjusted profit before tax is expected to be £250m, 40% below last year’s £419.1m, but in line with the revised company guidance announced in December 2024.
Its total completions are up circa 7% to 17,200 homes from 16,118 homes in 2023, with adjusted revenues expected to be up 9% to £4.4bn.
