Debevoise & Plimpton has taken space at the Daily Mail’s former headquarters at the Northcliffe on Tudor Street, London, EC4, for its new UK head office.
The New York law firm will occupy 68,000 sq ft across the fourth, fifth and sixth floors of the 186,765 sq ft building for a blended rent of just under £80 per sq ft pax.
It has signed a 15-year lease with a break after 12 years. This included 36 months rent free, with a penalty if the break is exercised.
The firm will relocate staff from its existing premises at 65 Gresham St, EC2, to the Northcliffe.

Gresham Street has been our home for more than 10 years now, and in that time we have seen a great deal of change in our London practice. This move is an opportunity for us to upgrade our space and facilities for our growing team.”
The Northcliffe provides seven storeys of Cat A office space to the south of Fleet Street. It includes around 9,800 sq ft of terraces and features a 3,000 sq ft café on the ground floor.
The all-electric office block is rated WiredCcore Platinum, EPC B and BREEAM Outstanding.
