Urban&Civic will develop some 1,420 homes, a primary school, community facilities, a district centre, public open space and sports pitches in zone three of the scheme within the local authority boundary. It will also provide financial contributions to secondary school provision, healthcare and libraries.
The remaining homes will be delivered in Corby in zone two. The application will go to Corby Borough Council’s planning committee in the coming weeks.
Urban&Civic is currently awaiting the outcome of a £506m takeover bid from the Wellcome Trust. For the deal to proceed, 75% of Urban&Civic’s shareholders must vote in favour of the deal, which is anticipated to complete in early 2021.
