Urban Tea Rooms signs at St James’s Market
The Crown Estate and Oxford Properties have signed Urban Tea Rooms to open a new flagship at the £400m St James’s Market development, SW1.
The café, which serves British produce and has a modern take on the traditional English tea room, currently has one outlet on Kingly Street, W1.

St James’s Restaurant will have seven restaurants, including Nordic restaurant Aquavit, a new Danish bakery from Ole & Steen, the Japanese Anzu and Salt Yard Group’s Veneta.
The scheme builds upon The Crown Estate’s wider £500m investment strategy for its St James’s portfolio, which includes re-establishing this historic district as a destination for the best in international cuisine, such as Milos, Chutney Mary, Cicchetti and Café Murano.
The St James’s Market development has also created 210, 000 sq ft of new offices, six new flagship stores for fashion retailers, a new public square and art pavilion.
