Urban Land Institute appoints Hale as UK chair
The Urban Land Institute has appointed BNP Paribas’ Vanessa Hale as its new UK chair.
Hale is director of research for BNP Paribas Real Estate. She will begin her two-year term as ULI chair on 1 July.
She will outline her plans to develop guides to improve both social and financial returns from real estate at the ULI UK conference on 23 May.

Hale said: “As a global not-for-profit, ULI is needed more than ever. And if we are to tackle the challenges of climate change, housing, infrastructure and regeneration, it will require a broader, more inclusive conversations.
“As the global real estate industry, it is our responsibility to engage more closely with the public sector, sharing knowledge and expertise.”
Hale succeeds Aecom vice president Chris Choa. Previous ULI UK chairs including Patrizia’s chief information officer Anne Kavanagh and Benson Elliot chairman Marc Mogull.
