Two new signings take 22 Bishopsgate to 75% let

The City of London’s tallest building has signed up two fresh tenants, investment bank William Blair and insurer RSA Group.

The companies will take a combined 89,000 sq ft at 22 Bishopsgate, the 278m-high tower which AXA IM Alts and Lipton Rogers completed in late 2020.

It means the block, which also houses Apple, Wall Street law firm Skadden and others, is now 75% let.

Chicago-headquartered William Blair has agreed a 15-year lease for 64,000 sq ft across the 47th, 48th and 49th floors. EG revealed the deal last year.

Separately, RSA has agreed to take 25,000 sq ft across the entire eighth floor on a 15-year lease, with its employees moving to the building from the second half of this year.

Phillip Shalless, senior asset manager at AXA IM Alts, called the 75% let landmark “a huge achievement just a year after completion, and particularly against the backdrop of the global pandemic”.

He added: “This milestone is testament to 22 Bishopsgate’s excellent amenities and smart technology, both of which enable high levels of wellbeing and productivity.”
