Views of Oxford’s dreaming spires have been preserved after campaigners bought a slice of land to the west of the city.
The Oxford Preservation Trust, which already owns land nearby and at Boars Hill, has purchased 10 acres of land at Harcourt Hill. The trust described the site as an important part of the “jigsaw” of land overlooking the city.
The parcel was bought on the open market, with the trust beating of rival bids from developers.
