Tri7 and Fusion secure green light for Wood Green student digs
Tri7 and joint venture partner Fusion Group have secured unanimous approval from Haringey Council for a mixed-use student housing and social home scheme in Wood Green, north London.
The jv’s proposal will transform a vacant former Mecca Bingo hall and car park on Lordship Lane into a development across four buildings containing 636 student bedrooms.
The Costorphine & Wright-designed development will also provide 78 affordable homes, 52 of which will be social rent, with a further 26 shared-ownership apartments.

The Costorphine & Wright-designed development will also provide 78 affordable homes, 52 of which will be social rent, with a further 26 shared-ownership apartments.
Around 8,600 sq ft of ground-floor town centre use and 23,000 sq ft of public open space will also be provided.

The jv submitted plans for the 2.16-acre site in February this year. Tri7 acquired the site from U+I in 2022 for £21.5m.
