Bidwells have retained their place at the top of EG’s Cambridge office disposals league table. Despite a 16% drop in its year-on-year disposal figures, the firm took an even more commanding 58% market share – acting on 11 more deals this time around.
In a year that lacked the big pre-lets of previous years, the largest deal was to Arm, expanding its footprint in Cambridge by 47,617 sq ft at Eastbrook in a joint deal between Bidwells and Carter Jonas – the smallest overall top letting since 2013.
The electronics sector accounted for 31% of take-up. Aside from chip design firm Arm taking space, there were notable deals in this sector to Samsung, which took 16,515 sq ft at Station Road, and Grapeshot, which secured 8,876 sq ft at Park House.
