Tide has £100m Ealing co-living scheme waved through
Tide Construction has received planning approval to develop a £100m, 462-home co-living scheme in Ealing, W3.
The 0.3-acre site is currently known as The Castle, a 1930s two-storey public house, which has been vacant since late 2020. The building will be demolished and redeveloped into a part 32-storey, part 27-storey co-living development.
The site, located at the junction of Victoria Road and Wales Farm Road, is a two-minute walk from North Acton Underground station. It lies within the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area.

The London Borough of Ealing and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation approved the development in a planning meeting earlier this week, subject to section 106 requirements, which include a financial payment towards affordable housing of £13.1m.
The HTA-designed scheme includes rooms of 210 to 280 sq ft, with a valuation based on rents of between £275 and £305 per week. The scheme includes 16,145 sq ft of amenity space and a replacement pub, residents’ lounge, laundry facilities, library, dining/cooking area, 434 cycle parking spaces, co-working space, terrace, gym, games room, cinema and sunroom.
The development will be built using MMC techniques by Tide’s Vision Modular Systems.
A spokesman for the company told EG: “Our scheme in Ealing will deliver new homes precision-manufactured in controlled conditions, enabling homes to be built safely and without causing significant disruption to the surrounding neighbourhood.”
