Taylor Wimpey acquires £80m Hackney Wick resi scheme

Telereal Trillium has sold an £80m residential development in Hackney Wick to Taylor Wimpey. Hackney TSCV is located on a 1.5-acre former BT depot site on Fish Island, close to Hackney Wick Station. The site has consent for 145 flats, of which 50 will be affordable, with 23,000 sq ft of ground floor commercial space. It is Taylor Wimpey’s third acquisition in Hackney Wick in three years. BT used the warehouse and offices on the site for storage and back of house operations. Telereal Trillium agreed a £2.38bn sale and leaseback of 6,700 BT properties, with a floor area of 59.2m sq ft in 2001. It secured the planning permission in December 2018 and BT vacated the site at the end of 2019. Telereal Trillium was advised by Savills.
