Sussex commuter belt BTR scheme approved

Plans for a new build-to-rent apartment scheme in Sussex aimed at the London commuter market have been approved by planners.

The mixed-use development, designed by Broadway Malyan, includes 145 private and affordable rent apartments and around 10,000 sq ft of commercial office space. It will be located close to Haywards Heath station in Mid Sussex.

Broadway Malyan director Joe Witchell said: “Haywards Heath is becoming an increasingly popular location for professionals, due to its easy access into London and Brighton and this development provides high-quality living within a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station.”
