Sunderland approves 150,000 sq ft office scheme on brewery site

Legal & General and Landid have been given planning permission by Sunderland City Council to redevelop the former Vaux brewery site into around 150,000 sq ft of office space.

The scheme includes two office buildings, ranging between four and six storeys in height, and will include retail and restaurant space.

DPP, the planning consultant for the scheme, has also been appointed to submit plans for a pedestrian bridge which will cross the River Wear and connect the heart of the city with the Stadium of Light. The application is due to be submitted before the end of the year.
