Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer plans to tell top bosses that he will “do the hard yards” to fix the economy and break the “permanent cycle of crisis” gripping Britain.
In a critical pitch today to win the support of businesses, Starmer will unveil a new deal for how his party would work with businesses in government.
Starmer will tell more than 400 business leaders: “The depth of the changes we have made to transform the Labour Party’s relationship with business is something I take immense pride in. Your presence here is a testament to the changes we have made over the past four years.”
