David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, said the jv shares its occupiers’ “commitment to carbon reduction” and that it has made ESG action “a priority” in the White City innovation district.
Ed Tischler, managing director at Gravity Media, said the new facility is “a big moment” for the business. He said: “Our new production centre… will house our growing team of creative and innovative broadcast specialists. With our strong technical pedigree and well-established experience of complex live, fast turnaround and postproduction workflows, the powerful network of connected Gravity Media remote production centres coupled with expertise delivering turnkey solutions will continue to offer productions a unique range of options and flexibility.”
White City Place and the Television Centre are at the heart of an £8bn, 15-year regeneration of the wider White City area which is set to include 2,500 new homes, more than 2m square feet of office space and 20,000 new jobs.
White City Place is also home to the Gateway site, where Stanhope is also working on three new buildings with investors Mitsui and AIMCo. The life sciences hub at Gateway East will offer 500,000 sq ft of lab enabled space. It will also offer two office buildings – Gateway Central, a 250,000 sq ft building pre-let to L’Oreal, and Gateway West, a 25,000 sq ft space. Work on both sites has recently completed, and both are due to open by the end of the year.
Monmouth Dean advised Gravity Media, while Cushman & Wakefield and Knight Frank acted for Stanhope.
