As the prime minister prepares to unveil his much-delayed energy strategy on Thursday, developers of renewable projects have warned that targets will be meaningless unless the “inflexible” planning regime is fixed.
The PM is expected to row back on plans for more onshore wind farms in the face of opposition from more than 100 of his own MPs.
