Planning needs to be speeded up and streamlined for renewable energy projects or the UK will fail to meet its clean energy targets.
As the prime minister prepares to unveil his much-delayed energy strategy on Thursday, developers of renewable projects have warned that targets will be meaningless unless the “inflexible” planning regime is fixed.
