Sovereign Centros secures Uniqlo for Glasgow flagship store

Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo has signed a deal with Sovereign Centros to open a flagship store at 135-153 Argyle Street, Glasgow. The retailer has signed for circa 23,500 sq ft on a 10-year lease term with the landlord. The store will open later this year. Argyle Street is one of the main shopping streets in Glasgow’s city centre, connecting with Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street. Earlier this week, Uniqlo also signed a deal with Hammerson to open a 20,000 sq ft flagship store in Birmingham’s Bullring shopping centre. Savills acted for Sovereign Centros on the deal.
