Sir Philip Green brings in new blood for shake-up of his empire

Two new directors have joined Sir Philip Green’s retail empire as he continues to work on restructuring plans.

Jamie Drummond Smith, a restructuring expert who has worked at Deloitte and is chairman of Cattles, a credit provider, and Peter Bloxham, a former head of restructuring and insolvency at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, the “magic circle” law firm, have joined the board of Taveta Investments.

Drummond Smith, 59, joins as interim chairman, replacing Baroness Brady, 50, who resigned as chairwoman suddenly in February, while Mr Bloxham is joining as an interim non-executive.
