Nordic investment firm NREP has hired a senior director from Sidewalk Labs as its head of urban strategy and design.
Jesse Shapins spent more than five years at Google-owned Sidewalk Labs, most recently as senior director for urban development. His earlier roles included director of product at Buzzfeed, as well instructor of architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
In a blog post on the move, Shapins said the new role would allow him to “pull together all of the threads of my experience”.
