Shopping centre investment falls 90%

The UK’s decision to quit the EU has had a dramatic effect on shopping centre investment decisions, with transactions totalling just £118m in Q3.

However, with retail funds having since reopened, sentiment is improving and transaction volumes could reach 2012 levels by the year end.

Consumer confidence has also returned to pre-Brexit levels, with positive sales growth in the two months following the EU referendum.
