SDL sale attracts keen bidders
SDL Property Auctions raised £23m from 137 lots in its June national property sale, a success rate of 86%.

In Wales, a semi-detached bungalow on a large plot with a modest guide price of £35,000-plus, in Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham (lot 13), attracted keen bidding and sold for £59,000.
The day before its national property auction, SDL hosted a live-streamed commercial sale for Scottish chartered surveyors Shepherd. A total of just over £1m was raised, with nine lots from a total of 15 finding buyers. Sales included a restaurant in Ayr generating rental income of £25,500 per year (lot 3). It was guided at £165,000-plus and sold for £186,000.
SDL also operates timed auctions and “buy it now” sales each day on its website.
Successes in June included a three-bedroom end-of-terrace house in Teignmouth, Devon, offered in a “buy it now” sale in partnership with Fulfords for a fixed price of £170,000.
There was high demand for a studio apartment in Surrey, which was sold in partnership with Bairstow Eves. The home in Purley was offered in a timed auction with a guide price of £67,000-plus and sold for £93,000 after attracting 44 bids.
