Manchester city council has approved Allied London’s plans for the redevelopment of the former Granada Television headquarters and studios.

The Levitt Bernstein-designed plans include a 150-bedroom hotel, 45,000 sq ft of restaurants and bars and 45,000 sq ft of offices.

It is part of the 13-acre St John’s Quarter regeneration scheme, which will include offices, 1,450 homes and cultural amenities.
