Scarborough Group International has received planning consent for the next residential phase of its £1bn, 25-acre Middlewood Locks scheme in Salford.
The city council has approved residential and commercial development for the remaining 10-acre plot of land between existing developments at Middlewood Locks, through the Ordsall Chord railway arches to Manchester city centre.
This consent covers 659 flats within two blocks. The first will be part 28-storey and part 10-storey, with a podium garden between the two. The second will be part 32-storey and part 11-storey, with 18,000 sq ft of commercial space.
