Savills has confirmed it has terminated the contract of an employee alleged to have sent a racist tweet after the Euro 2020 final.
The agency had suspended the member of staff in July after a tweet, since deleted, was posted using a racial slur to attack players following England’s defeat in the final. The employee was arrested days later.
A statement from Savills reads: “We can confirm that following a period of suspension, the contract of an employee alleged to have sent a racist tweet from a personal social media account post the Euro 2020 final has been terminated and the employee has left the business.
