Royal Insurance, whose offices in Longridge House, Corporation Street, Manchester, were badly damaged by the IRA bomb, has taken the remaining 3,457.6sq m (37,219sq ft) in St George’s House, 56 Peter Street, Manchester.
Royal is paying Threadneedle Property Fund Managers, the owners of St George’s House, £161.5 per sq m (£ per sq ft) for a 15 year lease with a break at 30 months. Royal holds a long occupational lease on its Longridge House offices.
According to Charles Murray of Lambert Smith Hampton, joint letting agent with Grimley, this is the largest letting in Manchester this year. St Quintin advised Royal.
