Riverstone, which gained backing from Goldman Sachs last year, develops flats for the over 65s looking to downsize in the city. As well as providing on-site and in-flat private healthcare, its developments aim to emulate the feel of a members club and residents have access to a spa, swimming pool, gym, restaurant, bar, hairdressers, housekeeping services, chauffeurs and a cinema.
It is developing 352 homes on two sites in Fulham and Kensington and aims to grow this to more than 10 sites in the next four years.
Leek said: “There has been a societal shift in the way that people want to live in retirement. This is leading to a huge increase in demand for premium senior living communities which provide best-in-class amenities and facilities for residents.”
