A report on an independent review into a governance row at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has been delayed again until mid-August.
Law firm Kingsley Napley, which is supporting Alison Levitt QC on the review, said the team has moved into the “final phase”.
“It is their hope to be able to deliver the report to the chair of the steering committee of governing council by mid-August 2021,” stated the firm.
It did not provide any further explanation.
The report has been beset by delays, with its June publication date previously pushed back to July.
Levitt, of 2 Hare Court Chambers, was drafted in to lead the review after Peter Oldham QC stepped down from the role in early April. The report was initially set to be published in that same month.
The review focuses on allegations that RICS tried to suppress a critical internal report into its finances in 2018/19, and then unfairly dealt with those seeking to explore the issue.
