Reselton reveals plans for Stag Brewery, SW14

Reselton Properties has revealed plans for nearly 1,000 homes at their Stag Brewery site in Mortlake, SW14.

The site, in a prosperous south west London location, is ideally placed with a Thames river frontage, and being just 200m to Mortlake station, with direct links to Waterloo.

There are 980 new homes are proposed, including 190 extra care units and affordable housing.

The proposals for the mixed-use scheme include a 96-bedroom hotel, 30,000 sq ft of office space, cinema, gym, restaurants, secondary school and community uses. A new high street is also planned with 40 retail units, along with a new town square at the heart of the development.

Buildings will rise to just seven storeys, and a new ‘green link’ will be created connecting the railway station to the River Thames. The tow path along the river edge is also proposed to be upgraded and connected into the site, with accessibility to the Thames improved.

Consultation exercises are ongoing, with plans envisaged to be submitted later this year. The site ceased production of beer at the end of 2015 following brewing giant AB InBev’s decision to move operations to Wales. It most recently produced Budweiser.

Reselton Properties, a subsidiary of Singapore-listed City Developments Limited, acquired the site in 2015 for £158m from AB InBev. Dartmouth Capital Advisors represented Reselton on the acquisition and is development partner. The architect is Squire and Partners.
