Rent reviews boost values for Care REIT

The value of Care REIT’s portfolio nudged up by 1% in the three months ended 30 September to £672.1m.

The REIT, formerly known as Impact Healthcare, said the increase in value had been driven by the completion of 12 rent reviews over the period, which contributed a further £200,000 of rent.

As at 30 September, the group’s portfolio comprised 138 healthcare properties, of which 136 are care homes held on fixed leases of 20 to 35 years with no break clauses. The total portfolio has a WAULT of 20.5 years.
