Renovation projects prove stars of SDL auction
SDL Property Auctions’ June sale offered a number of renovation opportunities, with lots ranging from classic terrace properties to former police stations going under the hammer.
Lot 1, 41 Derby Road in Belper, was one of the most anticipated items. With three bedrooms and room for improvement, the property had a guide price of £88,000+ plus fees. It sold for £192,000, more than double its guide price.
Andrew Parker, managing director and auctioneer at SDL, said: “Properties like these are the kind of thing people come to auction for, and this month was no different. This property really has bags of potential, and it will be exciting to see what the lucky buyer does with it in the coming months.”
