Regal London has lodged plans for a 639-bed purpose-built student accommodation development in Wembley.
The developer is proposing a project on land behind 390-406 High Road. Regal said the scheme would open up the railway lands parallel to High Road, Wembley, for the first time, as well as provide “safe and inclusive” green space.
The proposals include a range of bedroom typologies, including 10% accessible rooms. The development would be car-free and include new public realm as well as a rentable studio space for the community.
It would mark its second student development in Brent, and its fifth in London. Other sites include the Society, also on High Road in Wembley; Devonshire Place in Southwark, which is in planning; and proposed new developments on Chalk Farm Road in Camden and Orchard Wharf opposite the O2 Arena.
Subject to planning approval, the latest Wembley project takes Regal London’s PBSA portfolio to nearly 3,500 beds across the capital.
Paul Eden, co-founder of Regal London, said: “There is clear demand for high-quality purpose-built student accommodation in London – well located, with good sustainability credentials and a thoughtful approach to design and wellbeing. We hope to be able to deliver this for High Road, Wembley, and to continue working closely with our local neighbours in the area.”
