Red Bank to get green light

Manchester City Council and Far East Consortium are set to receive planning approval for their outline application for the regeneration of the Red Bank neighbourhood, a part of the £4bn Victoria North housing scheme.

The proposal includes up to 3,250 homes and more than 160,000 sq ft earmarked for commercial use, a health centre, primary school, residential amenities and community space.

The joint venture has committed to providing 20% affordable housing across the development, subject to viability.
