Real estate pioneers unite for green design rating system

British Land’s 1 Broadgate, EC2, L&G Real Assets’ Ralli Quays in Salford, Greater Manchester, and Royal London Asset Management’s Statesman House in Maidenhead, Berkshire, are among 11 UK office developments that are pioneering sustainable design.

The assets form part of the Better Buildings Partnership’s Design for Performance initiative.

The Design for Performance pioneers – British Land, the Crown Estate, Derwent London, Great Portland Estates, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, Landsec, Legal & General, Lendlease, Nuveen Real Estate, Royal London Asset Management and Stanhope – have all submitted at least one building to the project, which seeks to close the performance gap between how buildings are designed to perform, and how they actually perform.
