QuadReal Property Group, the C$67.1bn (£44bn) real estate investor owned by British Columbia pension fund BCI, has hired the former head of research at Hines Europe as it looks to build its regional business.
Farhaz Miah has joined QuadReal as vice president for research and strategy and will lead the company’s research function across the UK and Europe from London. Farhaz was head of research at Hines Europe from mid-2020, having previously worked at Deutsche Asset Management and Preqin.
The company said it plans to grow its C$6bn European portfolio “significantly”. Rosemary Feenan, executive vice president of research at QuadReal, said the new hire will play “a vital role informing QuadReal’s global investment strategy”.
