Vistry Group and Barratt Developments have submitted plans for a scheme of up to 800 new homes in Haxby, North Yorkshire.
The move follows detailed and ongoing community consultation, with the site identified for housing forming a part of the emerging City of York Local Plan.
The scheme is set to offer at least 30% affordable homes, including shared ownership and affordable rent tenures. It will also feature children’s play areas, sports grounds and sustainable urban drainage systems.
A spokesperson from Vistry said: “We are pleased to meet this significant milestone to deliver new homes and open space in Haxby. We have taken on board a range of views from local residents and stakeholders and will continue to do so throughout the process.”
