Property lawyer gets to keep home extension despite having no planning permission

A barrister has been able to keep a three-storey extension to his £1.85m home despite having no planning permission after a judge ruled removing it could bring the house down.

Property specialist, Philip Galway-Cooper, and his wife Wendy, were prosecuted for failing to demolish the three-storey extension.

But a judge at the High Court has confirmed their innocence after the London Borough of Camden took them to court for failing to comply with an enforcement notice.
