The Prince of Wales is to build and fund a £3m social housing development on his land in Cornwall to tackle homelessness.
Prince William has overseen plans to build 24 homes in Nansledan, a suburb of Newquay. The homes will include a mix of four-bedroom houses and one-bedroom flats in the area, which has one of the most acute homelessness problems in the UK.
The prince pledged last year that he would put social housing on his Duchy of Cornwall land. The 130,000-acre property portfolio is valued at around £1bn and stretches from Cornwall to Kent.
