The lack of suitable stock is the biggest obstacle for the expansion of the private rented sector, according to a panel of experts speaking at an M&G Real Estate event.
The panel – which included M&G real estate chief executive Alex Jeffrey, British Property Federation director Ian Fletcher, M&G residential adviser Alan Collett and M&G residential fund manager Alex Greaves – also highlighted local authority backing as key to unlocking the potential of the sector.
