Plans announced for further redev of York’s Coney Street
Helmsley Group has revealed its vision for a 250,000 sq ft project in York city centre.
The plan follows continued development of Coney Street Riverside. Projects delivered to date on the riverfront include Merchant’s Exchange, the Old Fire Station and Westgate.
Helmsley is now set to reshape 1-7, 19-33 and 39-43 Coney Street into the hub of commerce, culture and community while opening it up and reconnecting the area with the River Ouse.

Proposals include the creation of 250,000 sq ft of mixed-use retail, leisure, commercial, and residential space, a riverside walkway and public realm.
