Planners approve refurb of historic New Zealand HQ

Planners have given the green light for a major revamp of New Zealand’s grade II-listed diplomatic headquarters in central London.

The Crown Estate will push ahead with the refurbishment of New Zealand House, the 14-storey home of the country’s consulate in the UK in Haymarket, SW1.

The 1960s tower block comprises four podium levels as well as the main tower, with terraces on the third and top floors.
