Places for People and Ilke Homes have agreed two developments in Sussex and Exeter to deliver 472 modular homes.
Ilke Homes has lodged plans on behalf of PfP for 307 homes in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. The pair have also secured a 165-home site at Exmouth Junction (pictured) in Exeter from Eutopia Homes.
The homes will be brought forward as part of the £100m framework agreement from PfP and Ilke. The deal, agreed in 2019, will see 750 modular homes developed by Ilke and funded by PfP.
Dave Sheridan, executive chairman at Ilke Homes, said: “These transactions mark a significant achievement for our modular business, with Burgess Hill being the largest for our business in both GDV and volume for a forward-sold turn-key delivery package on a single site. Exmouth Junction is similarly the largest site to date secured and packaged in the South West region.”
The expansion follows Ilke’s recent fundraise, securing £60m to invest in technology and processes to boost production to some 2,000 homes a year.
Scott Black, group executive director of developments, at PfP, said: “By adopting modern methods of construction, our partnership with a proven modular business such as Ilke Homes allows us to create more affordable, well-designed, mixed-tenure communities across the country, speeding up delivery, cutting costs and giving our customers unrivalled choice and quality.”
