People and companies: Knight Frank appoints head of lettings

Sarah McKinnon joins the Cheltenham office to head its newly launched new homes team, supported by Katy Reynolds in the role of sales manager. Savills has hired Helena Gleeson as associate director in its licensed leisure team and Maxine Burnett as director of its EMEA occupier services lease administration team. Iain Powis (pictured, right) has been appointed office head and Omer Basharat sales manager in Cheltenham, while Charlotte Whitmarsh has been promoted to head of lettings in Wimbledon. Aitchison Raffety has appointed Rick Gibala as head of business rates. Adam Davies has been appointed asset manager at Evolve Estates. Formerly at CBRE’s central London asset management team, he managed a pan-European and Hong Kong-based institutional property portfolio. Gerald Eve has appointed Melanie Folkes-Mayers as ED&I manager. She is an award-winning HR specialist, trainer and speaker with over 20 years’ experience in retail, IT, healthcare and education. Bancon Group has appointed Senga Buntrock as a director, while Derek Wann, Ray Turner and Peter Barron have been promoted to director roles within Deeside Timberframe and Bancon Construction. Europa Capital has appointed Chris Miller-Jones to the newly created role of ESG director. Burrington Estates has hired David Jervis as its new homes business group managing director. He joined the company three years ago to launch its central England division. Lichfields has appointed Pippa Nisbet as its new director of planning for London and the South East. Jodie Al-khafaji and Leo Llewellyn have been promoted to chartered senior surveyor at Avison Young’s Cardiff office. Andrew MacDonald has been appointed head of finance and joint ventures for Immobel Capital Partners. Ola Alade has been appointed asset manager at LCP’s London offices. He joins from the Arch Company. Eversheds Sutherland has hired Joseph Hale as a partner in its litigation and disputes practice. Katie Fisher has been appointed as McCarthy Stone’s divisional managing director for the Midlands, where she will oversee the sale of 26 retirement communities. She was previously chief executive at St Andrew’s Healthcare. Lewis Ellis has appointed Jamie Whitelaw as a partner and Sophie Levin as a team assistant, while James Elkington and Joe Reece have been promoted to partner and associate partner respectively. James Dunne has been appointed managing director of Barratt’s Southampton division, responsible for the Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex operations. Trevor Palethorpe, joint head of John Pye Business & Property, has been elected as the president of NAVA, a division of Propertymark. Russell Simpson has appointed Ed Woolgar, who has experience in the prime central London lettings market, as head of lettings from Strutt & Parker. The Eddisons’ valuation team in Leeds has promoted Jack Hutchinson to director and has hired Rowan Manning as a graduate surveyor.
