Peel Holdings subsidiary, Ship Canal Properties, has unveiled plans to develop the remainder of Manchester’s Salford Quays. The site which is undeveloped spans 12ha (30 acres). Only a Section 106 Agreement needs to be resolved before the scheme receives consent.
Peel’s development plans include 93,000 dq m (1m sq ft) of offices on the site, with 600 houses and a 300-room hotel. The DETR has said that it would not call in the plans. Peel also has long-term plans for a similar-sized site at Pomona Dock: up to 93,000 sq m (1m sq ft).
