Parliament invites industry to share its view to greenlight new housing
Built-ID has partnered with the All Parliamentary Party Group for Housing Market & Housing Delivery to launch a stakeholder consultation platform enabling property leaders to engage with parliament on a scale never possible before.
Built-ID’s consultation software Give My View is being used by the APPG with the ambition to identify roadblocks to greater housebuilding and commitment from government to enable ambitious housing projects to be given the go ahead on an unprecedented scale.
The technology will provide a forum for industry leaders from across the residential sector to share their views with a cross-party group of MPs focused on finding and fixing the problems and determined to bring new investment into their communities.

“It is no secret that our housing market is broken,” said APPG chairman Ben Everitt. “Despite decades of discussions and well-intentioned policy interventions, little has been done to deliver new, affordable homes for people across the country. Consistent delay, fuelled by unnecessary bureaucracy, red tape and outdated planning systems, has prevented local communities from building the houses that they desperately need.
“We cannot fix this crisis through a single-track tactic, but need to take a holistic approach that involves various bodies across the sector, from councils, developers, housing associations, politicians from across the Houses and the communities themselves, to ensure that the right solution is found.”
Built-ID chief executive Savannah de Savary said that digital consultation had “game-changing potential for the housing sector” and would enable “time-poor industry professionals to meaningfully engage with parliamentarians”.
