Panattoni purchases Bognor Regis industrial development site

Panattoni has bought an 11.8-acre site in Bognor Regis on which it plans to build three mid-box industrial units totalling almost 200,000 sq ft in what it says is an under-served South Coast logistics market. The site has been bought from Hanbury Developments, an investor and developer based in nearby Chichester. Construction is due to begin in June this year, and there are plans for three units of 31,383 sq ft, 57,677 sq ft and 110,905 sq ft, totalling a combined 199,950 sq ft. Completion is anticipated in Q3 2026. Panattoni is targeting a BREEAM Excellent and EPC A rating for the scheme, with rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, rainwater harvesting, 15% rooflights to maximise natural daylight and EV charging. Neighbouring units are let to Amazon and Rolls Royce. It is Panattoni’s fourth acquisition in the South Coast region in the last two years following previous deals in Crawley, Burgess Hill and Brighton. The company says it is on the lookout for further sites.
