Oxpens regen lined up for approval

A major regeneration scheme in west Oxford is on track to be approved next week following a local planning committee meeting.

The 15-acre Oxpens scheme would transform the largest brownfield site in the city centre into a new mixed-use neighbourhood. The site is currently home to a car park, several buildings, old railway sidings and scrubland.

Oxford City Council and Nuffield College own most of the land and are bringing the regeneration forward through a joint venture called Oxwed.
